What it does
A MIDI keyboard, or just a microphone.
Plug a keyboard in over USB or Bluetooth and lumikey knows exactly which key you pressed. No MIDI port? Turn on the microphone and it listens to your piano instead, acoustic or digital. Either way, the song knows when you've played the chord.

Paste a link to any piano video and lumikey downloads it and transcribes it on your computer, offline. Drop in audio or MIDI and it does the same. 44 classics are already in there if you want to start tonight.
It works out which hand plays what, and which finger.
Every note lands in teal or pink. A small badge suggests a finger. Disagree? Tap the badge and pick your own; it sticks.
The song waits for the hand you're learning.
Turn on wait for the left hand and the right plays itself while the recording holds at every left-hand chord until you play it. Swap. Or wait for both. Slow the whole thing down to a quarter speed while you're at it.
Tweak the transcript
Select notes on the roll. Drag them, stretch them, move them to the other hand, line up a chord, delete the noise. Undo is there. When it's right, export it as a MIDI file.
